In July 1995, he received a bachelor's degree in engineering from the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronic Engineering of Tianjin University;
Obtained a master's degree in engineering from the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronic Engineering of Tianjin University in July 1997;
In March 2000, he received a doctorate degree in engineering from the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronic Engineering of Tianjin University;
From May 2000 to April 2002, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Information Optoelectronics, Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University;
From April 2002 to July 2005, he taught at the Institute of Information Optoelectronics, Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University;
Since July 2005, he has been teaching in the Department of Communication Engineering, School of Computer and Communication Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing.
