    Zhang Xiaotong, PhD, professor, doctoral supervisor. In 2000, he obtained a doctorate degree in engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing. From 2010 to 2011, he was sent by the government to study in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Lehigh University in the United States to conduct research on computer networks and cyber-physical systems. Since 2000, he has been engaged in the teaching and research of computer and electronics related subjects at the University of Science and Technology Beijing. Since 2002, he has served as the deputy dean of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, the (former) Deputy Dean of the School of Information Engineering, the director of the Experimental Center of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, and the current Deputy Dean of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering.

  • Research Performance

    In terms of integrated circuit (ASIC/SOC) design and research, wireless sensor network, wireless/wired broadband network, cloud computing and other research aspects, the project leader, sub-project leader and cooperator undertook 9 national "863" and national " Natural Science Foundation, National Defense Project, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and other major provincial and ministerial projects, responsible for or participating in nearly 20 project-enterprise cooperation projects. The main achievements include: Digital High-Definition TV Chip (ASIC) in TSMC in 2003 with a .25 process Successfully taped out; successfully developed embedded MAC protocol, TCP/IP protocol, QoS, network management (SNMP v1, v2, v3) protocol SOC chip system (support DVB-C, ITU J.83) for interactive digital TV , DOCSIS v.10, v2.0 standards), the project passed the expert review and project acceptance organized by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission in 2005; as a member of the standard group, participated in the formulation of the China Industrial Wireless Automation (WIA-PA) national standard, the international IEC62601  wireless sensor network standard, American ISA100.a wireless network standard, participated in the formulation of the international IEEE 802.15.4e standard, and developed and implemented a large-scale (406 node) for Anshan Iron and Steel Group in 2007 ) Industrial wireless sensor network monitoring system. Cooperate with UFIDA to develop commercial software and products for Android and iOS mobile terminals, and develop health and medical-oriented big data analysis technologies, cloud computing systems and server and multi-terminal client software. The current research directions and core theories involved in the project:
    1) Wireless sensor network and industrial wireless network theory and application technology
    Including: topology management, network coverage, network resource management, information fusion and information aggregation, low-power MAC and network protocols, data aggregation and data fusion, wireless sensor network security
    2) Research on underwater/underground communication and network systems
    Including: underwater/subsurface channel model research, underwater/surface wireless network protocol and system, channel coding and error correction, near field communication and antenna technology, signal acquisition and synchronization technology, type signal processing and reduction under complex environmental conditions Noise technology
    3) Cloud computing architecture and security
    Including: distributed resource management and scheduling technology, data tilt control technology, virtualized network system and optimization technology, big data storage and mapping technology, cloud security technology
    4) Cloud computing mobile multi-platform intelligent terminal
    Including: application technology of mobile smart terminals such as Android and iOS, micro database and file system
    5) Information art design and visualization calculation
    Including: Cooperating with the Department of Art and Industrial Design to study the algorithm optimization and software design based on the visualization of information technology, and the information art computer design under resource-constrained conditions such as mobile intelligent terminals
    6) Internet of Things and other related research work
    Including: embedded real-time operating system, smart sensor, embedded wearable computer system design, wireless personal area network (PAN) and wireless body area network (BAN)
